Our basis is organic agriculture. For good ingredients, with original nutrients and natural taste. Learn more about our natural raw materials.
Our products taste notably natural – like rain and fresh dew, and like warm summer nights and fresh autumn air. This natural power of the raw materials is fundamental. Therefore, the purchase of valuable, natural raw materials is one of our most important pillars.
Generally, we know our suppliers as well as the production sites personally and we focus on long-term, fair relationships. After all, this is the most important foundation for working together as partners at eye level. Through these long-standing relationships, a lively exchange of information and know-how has been established, benefiting all parties involved – especially the quality of our products.
Of course, the high product quality is the be-all and end-all for our decision to work with a supplier. But the hard facts, such as organic certificates, are not the only thing that matters to us. We are also interested in the values of the people with whom we interact – i.e. the attitude towards organic farming and quality in general, reliability and also the commitment to sustainability.
That is why we work with numerous suppliers who not only deliver high-quality organic products, but who have also established ethical standards in their dealings with people, use renewable energies and are actively committed to reducing water and electricity consumption and pollutant emissions.
Proper selection of suppliers in itself makes a significant contribution to ensuring the high quality of goods. Nevertheless, the quality of all delivered raw materials is closely monitored. For example, organic quality must be confirmed after receipt of goods. With the help of comprehensive analyses and frequent quality controls by independent laboratories, we ensure that all products that leave our factory meet the highest quality standards.
Since 1997, our company has been certified by the state-monitored eco inspection agency KIWA BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH in Nuremberg.
Responsible use of resources begins with the delivery of the raw materials to our production facility in Wittibreut-Ulbering. We always try to bundle several transports of raw materials to ensure that our logistics processes are as efficient as possible. This is our way to reduce transport routes and pollutant emissions as much as possible.
When the raw materials arrive at our warehouse, we conscientiously ensure that they are stored properly and professionally in order to maintain the quality of the goods in perfect condition until the end product is completed. This often involves complex logistics, e.g. constant control of storage temperature and humidity, which can be different for each raw material.
We obtain our coconut sugar from a Fairtrade-certified cultivation project in Central Java. This project supports a farmer cooperative in Central Java through fair prices, technical support and know-how transfer. This enables us to secure premium quality raw materials and at the same time gives local farmers greater independence.
Harvesting, extracting and processing coconut sugar is laborious and time-consuming. For generations, coconut blossom farmers have used the same traditional methods to do this, which are shown in this video:
