Stir the content of the package into 250 ml of cold water and sweeten to taste. Let the liquid boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the saucepan from the oven, stir occasionally and let to cool down for about 10 minutes until the mixture becomes creamy. Spread the cream over the cake one spoon at a time from the center. The cake can be cut after cooling (about 30 minutes).
